Tenute Piccini (Piccini 1882)

Founded in 1882 by Angiolo Piccini in the heart of Chianti, the estate is now led by fourth-generation Mario Piccini and spans 5 estates across Tuscany, Sicily, and Basilicata. Piccini is one of the most prominent wine producers in Tuscany and accounts for around 10% of all Chianti production.

90% Sangiovese, 10% Cabernet Sauvignon

Tasting Profile

An intense ruby red with aromas of blackberries, vanilla, and spice; on the palate it is harmonious and velvety with a warm embrace of red fruits and soft tannins. The 2022 vintage shows an earthy nose of dried herbs, walnuts, wet stones, and ripe red fruit, with a medium-bodied, smooth, and juicy character leading to a dry, savory finish.
